For a decade now, Unilab subsidiary, RiteMed, has succeeded in establishing the brand as the preferred provider of quality yet affordable medicines to Filipinos. And this year, RiteMed has added another dimension to its corporate thrust to better serve the Filipino consumers —accessibility. This is the rationale behind the launch of RiteMed’s RiteCare Program.
“Our advocacy is in line with the right to health, that of making quality and affordable medicines accessible to all, most especially to the elderly, to the hard-working employees, and Juan dela Cruz. This drives us to launch more new products and create new programs, like RiteCare, which will save, secure, and enrich the lives of our consumers,” Nick A. Salud, RiteMed Philippines Inc. Sales and Marketing director, said.
Under the RiteCare initiative, Salud said RiteMed is bringing quality and affordable medicines directly to the homes and workplaces of the consumers in order to ensure compliance among the patients.
RiteCare can tailor fit a portfolio of products and services for different groups. The goal is to make sure those in need of essential medicines, particularly those who are under drug maintenance, get constant and on-time delivery right at their doorsteps.
British global life insurance firm Pru Life UK is among the first business organizations that availed itself of the RiteCare program.
Belle Tiongco, Pru Life UK senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said the company’s 370 employees will get to enjoy the tie-up with RiteMed first, and later expand it to include its over 3,000 agents nationwide.
“It’s part of the services to our employees that we will introduce. Since it promotes well-being and provides convenience to our employees, we endorsed it,” Tiongco said.
Aside from availing of the RiteCare program, Pru Life UK also purchased medicine kits.
“This year, we chose medicine kits as our tokens for select customers. Since we also advocate wellness, these will be appropriate for our customers and we are sure will be useful for them. We also made sure that the provider is reliable, someone we can trust. So we thought of Unilab and RiteMed,” she said.
RiteMed currently has 34 brands of medicines, and is about to launch seven more brands within the year.
RiteMed is the number one unibrand of medicines and the fastest growing pharmaceutical company in the country.
